Svaroopa Yoga offers a doorway inside, we get to dip into our true nature, the nature of the Self is bliss. Our external awareness is drawn toward the internal state. We gravitate to that which we already are. Come dive into the ocean of bliss as we move into the postures, aligning with the angles that offer support and leaning into that support, which offers release for our body and mind.

Svaroopa Yoga invites us to welcome the art of  "being" as opposed to "doing". In fact, some of the poses that offer more release, require minimal effort. I suppose you could say I'm a "minimalist". I like to expend the least amount of energy and reap the maximum benefits. For the last several decades we have explored every possible means of propelling our bodies over land, air and water in pursuit of better health or at least looking more fit. Looks can be deceiving and there are those among us that are willing to admit, the inside doesn't quite match the outside. I for one, loved to work out and for several decades my body didn't put up too much of a fuss. In recent years, it has come to my attention, my body and mind are both in need of restoration or rejuvenation if you will.

As Patanjali, (often referred to as the father of yoga) wrote thousands of years ago, in effect, all pain that is to come, can and should be avoided. In other words, there are aches and pains just beneath the surface, if you don't go in looking for them, eventually they will find you. This style allows me to share yoga in a way that approaches each students' individual needs. Everyone is welcome to (dive) or drop in.
